On Thursdays we pick up fruits & veggies that we have purchased as a 'share' from a local CSA/farm. So, we are share holders of the farm. The annual gathering is this Sunday and there will be Farm tours, food, mingling and swimming. The girls are 5.5 mos old now (4 mos adjusted age). I've already arranged for a babysitter to watch them... but I'm still not sure. Should we take them with us? They really are not old enough to enjoy it but... they are our family and it would be a good time for some family pics...
I don't know. I'm still torn. I think that Jason and I can keep a better eye on Jackson and Abygail and also enjoy the day a bit more if it was just the 4 of us...
What do you think? Should we take the girls or not???
leave them home. Your older kids need some time with just the 2 of you. your younger ones will not remember and you'll have plenty of other photo ops.
ReplyDeleteI say leave them home. Especially if you have someone you feel comfortable watching them. They won't really enjoy much and they'll probably just be uncomfortable going around and around. They can always go next year when they're older and can enjoy some of it at least crawling/walking around!
ReplyDeleteYou just don't like to let anyone else hole them. Stingy is what I call it! Leave 'em home unless it kills you to leave them. They'll sleep half the time anyways!
ReplyDeleteI agree with the others. I'd leave the twins home. It's okay to focus on Abigail and Jackson. They'll have more fun if you don't have to worry about diapers and bottles, etc. Enjoy the day and don't feel guilty. There will be plenty more adventures to come. PS - We missed you at the reunion! It was a blast.
ReplyDeleteIt will be hard to leave the twins without a doubt- but it will be special for Abygail and Jackson to have mom and dad's undivided attention. The day would probably be less hectic and more enjoyable...a real memory maker if the twins stay home where they are most comfortable.
